Facebook & Instagram (Pages, Messenger, Lead Ads, Conversions API)

The Meta integration covers four distinct surfaces: Page management, Messenger inbox, Instagram DMs, Lead Ad form ingestion, and the Conversions API for ad attribution. They're all under one connection.

Connect Facebook

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Facebook

  2. Click "Connect with Facebook"

  3. Sign in to the Facebook account that admins your Page (must be Admin or Editor role)

  4. Select your Page (or Pages — you can connect multiple)

  5. Approve all requested permissions — declining any one breaks the corresponding feature

  6. Save

What the integration enables

Feature What it does
Messenger Inbox FB messages route into Conversations, you reply from CRM
Instagram DMs Same as Messenger, requires linked Instagram Business account
Lead Ads form ingestion Lead-form submissions arrive in your CRM in seconds, ready for follow-up
Page Posts (limited) Schedule simple posts to your FB/IG feed from CRM
Comments Comments on your FB Page route to inbox, you can reply privately or publicly
Conversions API Server-side ad attribution — critical post-iOS 14, dramatically improves ad targeting

TIP — The Conversions API is a quiet superpower

Since iOS 14's app-tracking changes (April 2021), browser-based pixel tracking misses 30–60% of conversions. The Conversions API sends events server-side, recapturing most of that lost data. If you run Facebook ads, enabling the Conversions API integration alone often improves your ad ROI by 20–40%.

Setting up Facebook Lead Ads

  1. In Facebook Ads Manager, create your Lead Ad campaign as normal

  2. On the form configuration step, no special setup is needed

  3. In Intellivizz CRM, go to Settings → Integrations → Facebook → Lead Ad Forms

  4. Click "Refresh" to pull your active forms

  5. For each form, configure: which workflow to trigger, which tags to apply, which fields map to which CRM fields

  6. Test by submitting a test lead through the Facebook ad preview

WARNING — Meta permission renewals

Facebook OAuth tokens expire approximately every 60 days. If your integration breaks unexpectedly, the most likely cause is an expired token. Reconnect from Settings → Integrations → Facebook. Set a calendar reminder every 45 days to verify the connection still shows as Connected.
